Fun and Easy! We want to keep these fairly simple so that you are able to interpret them as you see fit! Feel free to flip it, flop it, or keep it this way!
Here’s my interpretation - Card Details: Cardstock: Brushed Silver, Black, Taken with Teal (SU) and Solar White (Neenah); Rubber Stamps: “Winter Trails and Winter Birds” (Inkadinkado); Ink: Silver (Encore); Accessories: Heidi Swapp ghost snowflakes painted with “Aqua Marine” Shimmerz Paints, black brads (American Crafts). Stamped image used direct Shimmerz Paints to rubber and stamped. I thought it turned out pretty cool….. what do you think? Since I seem to be having problems with my post tonight - I’ll direct you to the right sidebar under Jacksonbelle Embellishments to check out the other teammates samples……. Hope you will join in the fun and Enjoy and Create, Lila
Edit note: I have to admit while I was a little under the gun to get my sample uploaded last night - I wasn’t really please with the main focal image on my card - Sooooo when I got home from work today I tore it apart, restamped using Taken with Teal Craft Ink (SU) and then put some “Silver Bells” and “Aqua Marine” Shimmerz Paints on selected snowflakes and winter flowers…… much better. Here’s a close up of the Heidi Swapp painted with “Aqua Marine” Shimmerz Paints. Now, I can Enjoy and Create, Lila

Tuesday’s Challenge over at Jacksonbelle Embellishments was to use this AWESOME new Cosmo Cricket “Jack’s World” paper…… this paper is super fun (of course what Cosmo paper isn’t??) it reminded me of the end of Summer, beginning of Indian Summer, the start of Autumn and of course returning to school - - all at the same time…
So I had to use this CUTE “Jailbirds” stamp from Inkadinkado - - it just reminded me of good times with my gal friends - like when you know you’ve had so much fun it should really be illegal!!! So much FUN that you should have ended up in the pokie??? jail??? probably wouldn’t have such cute little mug shots though or those fashionable jumpsuits… Of course this stamp is part of the Inkadinkado Halloween collection - but had to take it a different direction for today.

Card Details: Cardstock: Craft and Black (SU); Pattern Paper: “Jack’s World” (Cosmo Cricket); Stamp: “Jailbirds” (Inkadinkado); Ink: Graphite Black (Brilliance); Accessories: Prima Flowers, black brads (American Craft), colored with Copics, sentiment computer generated.
Be sure to check out all the DT gals samples using this CUTE paper - AND you will notice a new member to the team!!!! a big WELCOME to Rachel!!!! (links on the right sidebar!!!). Enabler Alert!!! Lindsey had new Basic Grey, other Cosmo Cricket, and Imaginisce PAPERS!!!! Enjoy and Create, Lila

It’s Tuesday’s Challenge with Jacksonbelle Embellishments - this week was a color challenge and I got to choose the color - PINK!!! PINK with any color combo…. now when I think of pink, I think of Cambria……. she’s the pink queen you know…… she made pink popular and trendy again!!! still……. As I sat down to think about my project I knew it had to include some of those new AWESOME Cuttlebug Embossing folders - Lindsey has them in stock you know - and as fast as her service is . . . well you could have them by the end of the week!!! I also knew I wanted to keep going with some of my Christmas projects….. I’ve been working on my Mother’s birthday project (her birthday is the first part of September). What do you give your Mom that is special, unique??? especially considering she has everything she needs….. Well, after seeing Michelle Wooderson’s quilting card projects, the lights went off. My grandmother was a master quilt trade’s woman!!! She passed several years ago but not before quilting, and I mean the real thing with all that stitching of an intricate design, quits for all her grandchildren - I’ve personally lost count how many grand and great-grand children she had…. but she made quits for milestones in our lives like when we were born, getting married, having our own children, graduating from high school - true workwomanship and a labor of love. My Mother has also done some quilting - I do have to say and she would probably agree that not quite to caliber of my Grandmother’s quilting abilities. Anyway I’ve been making cards that look like quits, will make a special box or altered tin to hold them and give to others for special occasions throughout the year…..
So my PINK card, I think looks like it has been quilted - at least the background. The technique was featured in PatStamps Technique Junkies’ Oct/Nov 07 newsletter and is called “Cuttlebug Smoosh” (by the way, ENABLER ALERT!!! Pat has a special for all the past newsletters and 6th Edition CD - if you love techniques and getting the most from your products - it’s a must have - with full photo, step-by-step tutorials and samples galore). Enough rambling….

Card Details: Cardstock: Pretty in Pink and Black (SU), Solar White (Neenah); Rubber stamp from Inkadinkado; Ink: Pretty in Pink (SU) and Black Onyx (Versafine); Accessories: Cuttlebug embossing folder, Nestabilities circle and scallop die, rubber brayer, “Funky Vintage” clear shape (Making Memories), taffeta ribbon(SU), black brads (American Crafts), colored with Prisma pencils, sewing machine, computer generated sentiment.
Would love for you to play along with the challenge - check out what the other team members have done……

So this week’s Jacksonbelle Embellishment’s challenge was a free for all - we could choose anything we wanted. Well I’ve been playing with some of my new loot from JBE’s store - Lindsey has Autumn, Halloween, and Christmas/Winter stuff arriving already!!! With CHA Summer releasing so many new items in preparation for Autumn and Winter it super pleasing to have them ready for purchase in Lindsey’s store……. and she has more on the way. Now I have to admit I don’t have any new Christmas/Winter designer papers yet so had to find my scrap stash from last year……score with the Basic Grey…..

Card Details: Cardstock: Solar White (Neenah), Blue Bayou & Black (SU); Pattern Paper from Basic Grey; Rubber Stamps: Inkadinkado; Ink: Graphite Black (Brilliance); Accessories: Felt Embellishment (Queen & Co), watercolor paper and brush, various ink refills, Dew Drops baubles, Shimmerz Paint in Angel White
This next one was MY FAVORITE!!!!!!

My Favorite cause it uses again, this super cute Ornate Snowman from Inkadinkado and what about that Snowflake Trail also from Inka. Snowman stamped on watercolor paper with Graphite Black (Brilliance) and then colored using watercolor brush and various reinkers - using purple…….. then to finish off the frosty feel how about some “Angel Wings” Shimmerz Paints…… I finally got a good photo that really shows the bling of these Shimmerz. The sentiment which has a dry emboss appearance is using one of the new Cuttlebug folders that are strips - - - these strips can be placed just about anywhere on your project - how cool is that!!!!???? A couple of American Craft felt snowflakes finishes off the card. Hope you enjoy - be sure to check out the other team members projects for the week…….

Card Details: Cardstock: “Solar White” (Neenah); “Berry Sorbet” (PapertreyInk); Pattern Paper: “Happy Day” (Chatterbox); Rubber Stamps: birds (Inkadinkado); sentiment (AMuse); Ink: Onyx Black (VersaFine); Accessories: Felt trim and embellies (Creative Imagination); colored with Prisma Pencils - no Gamsol - used Dave Brethauers’ coloring and blending techniques.

How about a little shakin Shimmerz today?? Now, if you haven’t heard yet, Jacksonbelle Embellishment has these in stock - today a little limited in supply because they have been so sparkly and shiny that Lindsey had a good run on them. I know once she gets back from CHA she’ll have a re-stock happening!!!
I’ll try to describe how and what these are like - first I would like to say they are NOT like Perfect Pearls, Pearl Ex or Twinkling H2O’s - those are awesome products that give a shimmer - but a different kind of shimmer. Shimmerz are more like a liquid glitter - but are different from Stickles from Ranger (love that stuff too!!) which is more of a glitter glue type consistency and they are different than Radiant Pearls (remember those?? - yup I got a load of those and really dig em too!!!) that would only dry on porous surface - like paper….. I know, Shimmerz when they are dry (and they dry fairly quick AND on non-porous surfaces) are more like Copic Spica pens (now your talkin my kind of SPARKLE!!)- that’s the look you will end up with. Rather than being in a pen and being a little costly like the Spica, they are a smooth and thinner paint you paint on. Don’t get me wrong I love all things shimmery, sparkly and glitterfied!!!!! But I’m really lovin these Shimmerz - easy to use, clean up and you really can not beat the cost!!!!
Now you all know that anything with glitter or shimmer is fairly difficult to either scan or get a good picture of all that loveliness - right?? But I did the best I could in capturing their sparkle for you….. Here are a couple of projects

Card Details: Cardstock& ribbon : Papertray Ink; Pattern Paper: Chatterbox; Rubber Stamp: butterfly (Chatterbox), sentiment (Inkadinkado); Accessories: Shimmerz “Candle Light”, circle and scallop dies (Spellbinders), colored with PrismaPencils - this is one of those clever little clam shell cards that Michelle Wooderson showed on her blog.

Watercolored image - image, sentiment, and background from Cornish Heritage Farms. Well, if these are enough to get your glitter buds going - check out the Shimmerz blog for more samples - and if that wasn’t enough - Shimmerz has a great monthly incentive - for each and every sample you post either on your blog, SCS, 2 Peas, etc and show Shimmerz in the recipe - you simply send an email to Shimmerz to be entered into a drawing for MORE Shimmerz. Enjoy and Create, Lila
